The Center of Lung Science and Health is a non-profit organization within the University of Minnesota (UM) Medical school that is dedicated to enhancing care of patients affected by respiratory-related disease by facilitating research, professional education and training, patient education and public outreach.
The Center itself is not a patient care clinic, although many of our leaders and members are with the UMPhysicians group that provide care for the Fairview System and affiliated clinics and hospitals. A University-Fairview Partnership was established in 1997 whereby Fairview operates the UM Medical Center and UMPhysicians provides clinicians; whereas, the UM Academic Health Center (AHC) operates the education and research programs.
