Ways to Contribute

There are a number of ways to help support the Center for Lung Science and Health and its mission.

Donate
Philanthropy is critical to our success.   While some annual administrative funding is provided through the Medical School, additional funds are needed to fund specific program initiatives and activities each year as well as to create the necessary  facilities, infrastructure and services that will ensure the long-term growth, strength and overall success of the Center.

Plan or Participate in a Fundraising Event
Many individuals, families or organizations have a flare for or interest in organizing events to help raise funds for a designated purpose, especially those that have special significance to them.   Events such as this not only help to raise funds but help to create community among the others involved and greater awareness among the community as a whole.  If you are interested in hosting your own fundraising event or being a part of a fundraising event planning group for the Center for Lung Science and Health, please contact us at 612-624-2671.  Or just check our Website for possible upcoming events for which you might participate!

Volunteer
Many of our public education and outreach activities require extra people power!   Our volunteers include faculty and staff, health care professionals, students, patients, family members and others out in the community.  Assistance may be needed behind the scenes or at acutal events.  If you like opportunities to learn, grow, meet or help other people, check our Website for specific posted opportunities or give us a call to see how you might be able to help out now or in the future.

Be an Active Member
The Center membership includes members from the academic community here at the University of Minnesota, its affiliates, and beyond.   Many of these members are working on a day-to-day basis on research, education, outreach and/or clinical care in line with our core mission as part of their actual vocation.  While some members may not specifically work in the field, they have an on-going committment to the mission of the Center and participate in many ways to help us meet our objectives.

OR

Sign up to be included in the CLSH Registry of Interested Persons
If you are a patient, family member, patient advocate, healthcare provider or other interested party, you might want to consider being a part of our CLSH Registry of Interested Persons which has been approved by the Institutional Review Board to ensure confidentialty and appropriate use of any information submitted.
